WHAT WE BELIEVE AS UNITED METHODISTS

• We believe in salvation in and through Jesus Christ.
• We believe that God’s redemptive love is experienced by humans through the activity of the Holy Spirit.
• We believe we are part of Christ’s universal church.
• We believe that the kingdom of God is both a present and a future reality.
• We believe in the authority of Scripture in matters of faith.
• We believe in God’s grace, the undeserved, unmerited and loving action of God in human existence offered through the ever-present Holy Spirit.
• We believe that heart and hand must be joined in evangelical witness and Christian social action.
• We believe that Christian doctrine must be joined to Christian living.
